Activities Week runs at the end of the academic year in July and offers students in Key Stage 3 a vibrant programme of experiences beyond the classroom. During this week, normal lessons are suspended and students engage in a variety of enrichment activities designed to broaden horizons, build confidence, and celebrate the year’s achievements.
In 2025, our opportunities ranged from residential trips — such as a Paris cultural tour and an Outward Bound adventure in the Lake District—to local day experiences including creative workshops, sports camps, and London-based excursions. Highlights included:
- Film Week: Students created and premiered their own short films
- Literary London: Visits to the British Museum, Tate Modern, and Epping Forest
- Mind, Body & Basketball Camp: Holistic training with professional coaches
- Music Production Masterclass: Hands-on studio experience using Logic Pro X
- Fashion Textiles: Practical design sessions and a trip to the V&A Museum
- London Explorers: Ice skating, museum visits, and immersive attractions
- Code Breakers: Escape rooms, treasure hunts, and a visit to Bletchley Park
- Adventure City: Go Ape, London Zoo, and a thrilling day at Thorpe Park
The final day typically includes student-led presentations and a celebratory Summer Rewards Fayre.
In 2026, Activities Week will begin on Monday 13 July. The programme will be released in February, along with a link to the online Choices Form. To support fair allocation, families will be asked to select three different packages their child would be happy to attend. Late or incomplete submissions may result in lower priority, and students without a completed form may be placed in an activity with remaining capacity.
All payments are made via MCAS (MyChildAtSchool), with instalment options available. Payment deadlines will be shared once places are confirmed. Please note that missed deadlines may result in the loss of a place, especially where waiting lists apply.
COLA Highbury Grove is committed to inclusion. Financial support is available to ensure all students can participate fully, regardless of circumstance.
