Across the curriculum, students explore how the knowledge and skills they develop can lead to a variety of career pathways. As your child progresses through Highbury Grove, they will take part in dedicated careers programmes tailored to their age and stage of education.
Staff attached to tutor groups play an important role in supporting students during key transition points, including GCSE option choices, sixth form applications, and UCAS references.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend all Parents’ Evenings. In particular, the Year 9 and Year 11 Options Evenings are vital in supporting students to make important decisions about their GCSE choices and post-16 choices. We also encourage parents and guardians of Sixth Form students to attend the Introductory Sixth Form Evening and the Sixth Form Progression Parents’ Evening.
