A warm welcome to City of London Academy Highbury Grove. At Highbury Grove we are relentless in our pursuit of excellence because we know the difference it can make to the lives of our young people, their families and community. We believe that all students can thrive in their academic lives and become active contributors to their local, national and global communities, given the right environment.
Our students are at the heart of everything that we do. Our curriculum is student-centred and we aim for their education to be inspiring, stimulating and challenging. Our staff – both teaching and support – are appointed for their passion, their enthusiasm and their expertise in communicating with young people to ensure that every single child is engaged, excited and challenged by the learning experience at all times.
Through our partnership with the Music in Secondary Schools Trust, all of our young people are given the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and in so doing unlock hidden potential, build confidence and social skills and connect to the world of classical music and the arts in the best possible way – by putting it in their hands.
Our vision is to empower students so that they are able to take control of their own future and have enhanced life chances as a result of learning with us. We are academically ambitious for our students and with the opening of our new sixth form build in January 2020 we are excited at the opportunity to continue to nurture their love of learning into A Levels and beyond.
The support of our whole school community; children, families and staff is vitally important to our continued success and we look forward to meeting you and working alongside you.
