At Highbury Grove we want every student to enjoy reading, because we know that students who read for pleasure succeed at school. For this reason the library organises many activities promoting reading for pleasure, e.g. book quizzes, World Book Day events and shadowing the Carnegie Children’s Book award. Some students work as library helpers at break times. We are a ‘Reading Connects’ school and expect students to have a reading book with them at all times.
