Course Outline
The Level 3 BTEC Business Certificate is equivalent to one A-level. This course provides the knowledge, understanding, and skills required for young people who aspire to a career as business decision-makers.
This course is for students who are interested in learning about business and who would like to become part of the UK’s dynamic business culture. It is a practical course which will give you the skills for the world of work and help you to add value to business activities in any organisation.
You will complete projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. This course will help students to:
- Develop research skills
- Use case studies effectively to explore complex or unfamiliar situations
- Carry out projects for which they have choice over the direction and outcomes
- Demonstrate practical and communication skills using presentations
- Develop skills in role play.
Assessment and Examinations
Over the 2 years students will study 4 units. 2 of these are examination units:
- Developing a Marketing Campaign
- Personal and Business Finance
- Exploring Business
- Market Research.
Future Prospects
Students will be able to choose a range business degrees, including: Accounting; Administration and Information Technology; Financial Services; Human Resource Management and Business Management.
