A level success for Class of 2026

Students at Highbury Grove are celebrating a fantastic set of A level results, with a significant increase in the number of students achieving the highest grades this year.

  • Highbury Grove celebrates significant rise in A*-A level grades
  • Students secure places at leading universities, including Oxford and UCL
  • Former Highbury Grove student secures Cambridge place at sister sixth form, ICS

The results mark an exciting year of progress for the sixth form and reflect the hard work and determination of our students, alongside the dedication of staff who have supported students throughout their studies.

Among this year’s high achievers is Mansoura, who achieved A*A*A* and is set to study Chemistry at University College London (UCL):

“Even during the hardest times, my teachers were always there to support me and give me the resources I needed to improve. They would make time outside of lessons to help me, and I always knew I could ask for support when I was stuck. My sixth form experience has been amazing, especially the activities and opportunities we shared as a community. I’m now excited to take the next step and study Chemistry at King’s College.”

Owen also achieved an impressive A*A*A and will be heading to the University of Oxford to study Engineering:

“I think the best thing about sixth form was the close-knit community. The teachers really know you and are always there to support you. You’re never overlooked if you’re struggling, and they’re always checking in to make sure you’re okay. Alongside the hard work, playing basketball and being part of a team gave me some great memories and helped create a really positive experience. I’m now incredibly proud to be heading to Oxford.”

The success extends beyond this year’s Highbury Grove students, with former student Elizabeth also celebrating an outstanding set of A-level results at award winning sixth form at Highgate Hill. She has secured her place at the University of Cambridge to study Human, Social, and Political Sciences, following her time at City of London Academy Highbury Grove.

With students securing places at leading universities and progressing to exciting destinations, we congratulate all our students on their achievements and wish them every success in their next steps.
