The Wiz: follow the yellow brick road to Highbury Grove
Published: Thu 16 July 2026Our school production of The Wiz was a fantastic success, with performances on Wednesday 8, Thursday 9 and Friday 10 July delighting audiences throughout the week. Dorothy was brilliantly portrayed by Rudy (Year 7), alongside an outstanding cast including Caleb (Year 7) as the Scarecrow, Ellie (Year 7) as the Tinwoman, and Joseph (Year 9) as the Lion. The cast delivered energetic, confident and memorable performances that showcased months of hard work and dedication. The audience were certainly immersed in joining Dorothy and her friends to follow the yellow brick road. A special thank you goes to Jono Kenyon, whose expertise and commitment to the production ensured that the lighting was the best it has ever been for one of our school shows, adding an extra level of professionalism and atmosphere to an unforgettable production. We can’t wait for the next one.
