This year we are celebrating improved performances in both English and Maths for our Year 11 students. In the new landscape of 1-9 grades, in English 79% of students gained a grade 4 (standard pass) or above and 59% gained a grade 5 (strong pass) or above. In Maths 61% of the cohort achieved a grade 4 or above and 45% a grade 5 or above.
This strong set of results is testament to the hard work and dedication of both our students and our staff. There were some excellent performances from students across all of their subjects.
After 2 years of committed and focused work, our Sixth Form students have been again celebrating success in A level, BTEC and in their OCR diplomas.
This year's results have continued to build on last year's successes with an overall pass rate of 97% with 57% of grades at A*-B and an improved 81% at A*-C. This sees the Sixth Form making improvements across all 3 measures. 100% of our first cohort of EPQ students also successfully completed their qualification projects with an impressive 25% achieving A*/A.
We are exceptionally pleased with the progress this cohort has made, which ensures we remain in the top 25% of schools nationally for progress. More importantly our students are now able to take up the courses of their choice at the institutions of their choice including the universities of Durham, Glasgow, Bristol, UCL and Leeds.
